Human Thy1 Cell Surface Antigen ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Human CD90/Thy1 (Thy1 Cell Surface Antigen) sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human CD90/Thy1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay is intended for use with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A specific anti-CD90/Thy1 antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-CD90/Thy1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the absorbance density is proportional to the amount of CD90/Thy1 captured in each well. The standard curve covers a range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a stated sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported recovery values (n=5) are: serum average 92% (range 82–102%), EDTA plasma average 95% (range 91–100%), and heparin plasma average 94% (range 88–100%). Dilution linearity results (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) are reported as: serum (n=5) 89–93%, 86–108%, 77–100%, 92–99%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 88–105%, 85–99%, 90–103%, 77–108%; heparin plasma (n=5) 86–93%, 91–106%, 80–104%, 89–93%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
