Human Thromboxane Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thromboxane A2 Receptor (TBXA2R) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate on which an antibody specific for Thromboxane A2 Receptor/TBXA2R has been immobilised to capture the target from standards and test samples.

Detection is carried out using a Biotinylated Anti-Thromboxane A2 Receptor/TBXA2R Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the analyte concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and reagents should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Recovery has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5) at serial dilutions, with mean recoveries of 91% (range 83–100%), 94% (range 90–98%), and 94% (range 90–99%) respectively, supporting use with tissue homogenates and a range of biological fluids.
