Human Thrombospondin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thrombospondin 2 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Thrombospondin 2. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and, following binding, the wells are incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-Thrombospondin 2 Antibody and then with HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Thrombospondin 2 is calculated by referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 62.5–4000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 25.6 pg/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
