Human Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (also referred to as Carboxypeptidase B2) in plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform with the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which the target is captured by an immobilised antibody, detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Carboxypeptidase B2 antibody, and visualised with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance measured at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader and concentration calculated against a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer, the kit has a sensitivity of <0.67 ng/ml and an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges in spiked samples are 80–102% for serum, 81–100% for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit is for human reactivity.
