Human Tetraspanin 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TSPAN1 (Tetraspanin 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for TSPAN1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-TSPAN1 antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate are applied. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of TSPAN1 is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reactivity is human, with a reported sensitivity of <0.074 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The protocol can be completed in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes using a colorimetric microplate reader. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
