Human Tensin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Tensin 3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for Tensin 3, then uses a biotinylated anti-Tensin 3 detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The reported sensitivity is <0.061 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Average recovery values from the manufacturer are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80-89%). Linearity is reported across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solutions A and B (120µl each), Wash Buffer 30X (20ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45ml), TMB Substrate (9ml), Stop Solution (6ml) and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
