Human Telomeric Repeat Binding Factor 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TRF2 (Telomeric Repeat Binding Factor 2). The kit is reactive with human samples and is suitable for measuring TRF2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where TRF2 is captured by an immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-TRF2 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of TRF2 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml. Average recovery (n=5) is 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
