Human Telomeric Repeat Binding Factor 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TRF1 (Telomeric Repeat Binding Factor 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids, with reactivity limited to human samples. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for TRF1 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added and any TRF1 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-TRF1 Antibody binds the captured TRF1, HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction. The resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and TRF1 concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

Manufacturer-reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m on the pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips). Average recovery values across sample types were 91% (Serum, n=5), 90% (EDTA Plasma, n=5), and 84% (Heparin Plasma, n=5), with corresponding ranges of 80%-102%, 81%-100%, and 80%-89% respectively.
