Human Telomerase Associated Protein 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, the assay is built on sandwich ELISA principles for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Telomerase Associated Protein 1 (TEP1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for TEP1 is pre-coated onto a microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells and captured TEP1 is detected using a biotinylated anti-TEP1 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with an acidic solution; the resulting yellow colour is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance proportional to TEP1 concentration as read against a standard curve.

The assay has a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.046 ng/ml, and a total run time of approximately 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been demonstrated in serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%).
