Human Tar DNA Binding Protein 43kDa ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human TDP43 in serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid or other biological fluids. The kit is supplied by Antibodies.com and uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate organised as 12 x 8 well strips with a colourimetric readout on a microplate reader at 450 nm. The assay follows a capture-detection format: a TDP43-specific antibody is immobilised on the plate, samples and standards are added, the wells are washed, and a biotinylated anti-TDP43 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate is used to generate a colour change with a TMB substrate that is stopped and read as absorbance.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml and a measurable range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery has been evaluated in serum (91%, range 83-100%, n=5), EDTA plasma (94%, range 91-98%, n=5) and heparin plasma (94%, range 90-99%, n=5). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 (n=5) has been reported for serum (80-110%), EDTA plasma (70-108%) and heparin plasma (79-110%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
