Human T-Cell Immunoglobulin And Mucin Domain Containing Protein 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human T Cell Immunoglobulin and Mucin Domain Containing Protein 4 (TIM-4) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microtitre plate pre-coated with a TIM-4-specific antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, with bound TIM-4 detected using a biotinylated anti-TIM-4 antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and visualised with TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Optical density is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the TIM-4 concentration is calculated against a standard curve. The stated assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.062 ng/ml, and total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagents are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed. Reported recovery averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5) in serum, 90% (range 81–100%, n=5) in EDTA plasma and 84% (range 80–89%, n=5) in heparin plasma. The product is for research use only.
