Human Syndecan 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative measurement of human Syndecan 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and is read colourmetrically on a standard microplate reader at 450 nm. Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-Syndecan 1 antibody, an HRP–avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, yielding a yellow product whose absorbance is proportional to the amount of Syndecan 1 captured and is quantitated against a standard curve.

The standard curve covers a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.064 ng/ml. The full protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in undiluted serum (80%–102%, average 91%, n = 5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%, n = 5) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%, n = 5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same three matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and not used after the expiry date.
