Human Synaptonemal Complex Protein 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Synaptonemal Complex Protein 3 (SCP3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate.

Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, where SCP3 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SCP3 Antibody binds the captured analyte and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow when the acidic stop solution is added; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration of SCP3 is calculated against the standard curve. The quoted sensitivity is 5.8 pg/ml and the working assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml.

Total assay time is around 4 hours 30 minutes. The protocol covers serum collected in serum separator tubes, EDTA or heparin plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates prepared in PBS, cell lysates and other biological fluids, with centrifugation speeds and storage temperatures specified for short- and longer-term use.
