Human Surfactant Associated Protein C ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of SFTPC in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, lung lavage fluid, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for Prosurfactant Protein C. The product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.112 ng/ml, measured using a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. The assay has a run time of 4h 30m and is for human samples.

Standards and test samples are added to the coated wells; captured Prosurfactant Protein C is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-Prosurfactant Protein C Antibody, then detected with an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance proportional to target concentration. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Reported average recovery (n=5) is 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions are also reported in the product documentation, with serum (n=5) values of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% respectively, EDTA plasma (n=5) values of 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%, and heparin plasma (n=5) values of 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.
