Human Surfactant Associated Protein A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Surfactant Protein A/PSAP. The kit is reactive with human samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, lung lavage fluid, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (96 wells, arranged as 12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for Surfactant Protein A/PSAP immobilised on the wells. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Surfactant Protein A/PSAP Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. Colour development is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the target concentration calculated against a standard curve. The quoted product range is 1.87-120 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.69 ng/ml; total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported recovery ranges across sample matrices include serum (80%-102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%-100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%, n=5). Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
