Human Superoxide Dismutase 3, Extracellular ELISA Kit

An Antibodies.com assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Superoxide Dismutase 3, Extracellular (EC-SOD) in serum, plasma, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit is configured as a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) with reactivity confirmed for human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

An antibody specific for Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD is pre-coated onto the microplate, and captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a yellow product read at 450 nm, with concentration calculated against a standard curve. Reported performance characteristics include a product range of 6.25-400 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <2.23 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, with the kit not to be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery testing across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples is reported, alongside dilution linearity (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16) for the same matrices, supporting use across a range of sample types.
