Human Substance P ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) enables in vitro quantitative determination of human Substance P in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with Substance P antigen; sample or standard Substance P competes with the immobilized antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Substance P antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added, TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow on stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml and sensitivity is 4.26 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 2 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery data: serum n=5, 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma n=5, 81%–99%, average 90%; heparin plasma n=5, 80%–89%, average 84%. Linear dilution at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was demonstrated across these sample types. Kit contents include the pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
