Human Steroid Sulfatase Isozyme S ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Steroid Sulfatase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for the target. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Steroid Sulfatase Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The concentration of Steroid Sulfatase is calculated by reading the optical density at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The stated assay range is 4.68–300 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.9 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader.
