Human Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen 2 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen 2 (SerpinB4/SCCA-2). The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids and is reactive with human samples only.

An antibody specific for SerpinB4/SCCA-2 is pre-coated onto a microplate, and standards and test samples are added so that target present in each sample is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SerpinB4/SCCA-2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well. The concentration of SerpinB4/SCCA-2 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. The stated product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
