Human Spondin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SPON2 (Spondin 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate to capture SPON2 from standards and samples, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-SPON2 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After addition of TMB substrate and acidic stop solution, the resulting yellow colour is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 27.6 pg/ml and an assay range of 62.5–4000 pg/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-recovery values are 80–102% in serum (n=5), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5).
