Human Sphingosine 1 Phosphate ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Sphingosine-1-phosphate in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is specific for Sphingosine-1-phosphate, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

The assay runs on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and takes approximately 2 hours to complete. During the run, Sphingosine-1-phosphate in standards or samples competes with the immobilised antigen for binding to an assay-specific antibody. After washing, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate. The resulting colour is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; target concentration is inversely proportional to the OD450 value and is calculated against the standard curve. The quantitative range is 3.125–200 ng/mL with a sensitivity below 1.875 ng/mL.
