Human SP-D ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SP-D in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The assay uses a colorimetric microplate detection method based on the quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique, in which a monoclonal antibody specific for human SP-D is immobilized onto microwells. Standard or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for SP-D. After removal of any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added, and substrate solution reacts with HRP to develop color in proportion to the amount of SP-D bound. The optical density is measured by a microplate reader.

The kit has shown no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant human SP-D. The product range is 78.13 - 5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 2.45 pg/ml. Average recovery from serum samples is 105%.
