Human Sortilin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Sortilin 1 (also referred to as Sortilin/NT3) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Sortilin/NT3 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Sortilin/NT3 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of Sortilin/NT3 calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
