Human Sorbitol Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Sorbitol Dehydrogenase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) using the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: a Sorbitol Dehydrogenase-specific capture antibody is immobilised on the plate, standards and test samples are added, and bound target is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Sorbitol Dehydrogenase Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Target concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported performance includes a measuring range of 3.12–200 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <1.25 ng/ml. Sample recovery was evaluated in serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same matrices. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
