Human Solute Carrier Family 30 Member 8 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables quantitative determination of human ZnT8 (Solute Carrier Family 30 Member 8) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format, with an antibody specific for ZnT8 pre-coated onto the plate, a biotinylated anti-ZnT8 detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Bound analyte is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and is proportional to the ZnT8 concentration of the sample.

Reported sensitivity is 0.057 ng/ml and the standard curve range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Validated sample types include serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 80–102% (serum, n=5), 81–101% (EDTA plasma, n=5) and 80–89% (heparin plasma, n=5), and average recoveries of 91%, 91% and 84% respectively. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagents should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
