Human Small Ubiquitin Related Modifier Protein 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Sumo 2 (Small Ubiquitin Related Modifier Protein 2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format with a total run time of 4h 30m.

An antibody specific for Sumo 2 is immobilized on the plate. Standards and samples are added and captured by the immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with Biotinylated Anti-Sumo 2 Antibody and then HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product converts to yellow after addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.101 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80%-102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81%-100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80%-89%, n=5). Linearity was demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16.
