From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human SSH3 (Slingshot Homolog 3) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for SSH3, and bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-SSH3 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate whose yellow colour intensity is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and compared against a standard curve.

Reported performance figures are a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.067 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Manufacturer validation data cite mean recoveries of 91% from serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% from EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% from heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5) in undiluted samples.
