Human Slingshot Homolog 2 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SSH2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for SSH2. After addition of standards and samples, captured SSH2 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-SSH2 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the SSH2 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Key performance specifications include an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.113 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m, the platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection is colourmetric.

Recovery data indicate a mean of 91% in serum (n=5, range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%). The kit is reactive against human SSH2 and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, with the kit not to be used past its expiration date.
