Human SLC30A8 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human ZnT8 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Reactive with human samples, the kit is specific for ZnT8, with no reported cross-reactivity against other analogs or variants.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and follows a four-hour workflow. Standards and samples are incubated with an immobilised capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate. After addition of an acidic stop solution, the colour shifts from blue to yellow and is read at 450 nm; intensity is directly proportional to ZnT8 concentration. The standard curve spans 0.313–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity below 0.188 ng/mL.

Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing; validated dilutions include healthy serum at 1:2 and serum from diabetic patients at 1:20–1:50. Recovery has been confirmed across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average values between 93% and 98%. The kit is shipped at +4°C; components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
