Human Single Strand Selective Monofunctional Uracil DNA Glycosylase 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human SMUG1 (Single Strand Selective Monofunctional Uracil DNA Glycosylase 1) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format (12 x 8 well strips) with an immobilised capture antibody specific for SMUG1, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-SMUG1 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.047 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery testing across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5 per matrix) yielded average recoveries of 91%, 90%, and 84% respectively. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each sample matrix. Reagents should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the supplied protocol, and the assay should not be used past the indicated expiration date.
