Human SIK1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay distributed by Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SIK1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The format uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm and a total assay time of 4 hours. Standards and samples are incubated in wells pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for SIK1, followed by washing and addition of a biotinylated detection antibody to form a sandwich complex. An HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate generate a colour signal whose intensity is proportional to SIK1 concentration, calculated against the standard curve.

The kit is reported to be specific for SIK1 with no observed cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Reported spike-and-recovery averages are 92% in serum (range 85-100%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 91-105%), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 89-101%). Linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
