From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SLAMF7/CS1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and the sandwich immunoassay technique, in which a biotinylated anti-SLAMF7/CS1 detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate are added sequentially. TMB substrate produces a colour change proportional to target concentration, which is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.053 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Manufacturer data report average recovery of 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81-101%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is documented at 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and use before the expiration date.
