Human SHC-Transforming Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA enables in vitro quantitative determination of human SHC Transforming Protein 1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, with samples and standards captured by an immobilised anti-SHC antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-SHC antibody binds the captured SHC, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the SHC concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The kit has a stated assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.117 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery averages are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and must not be used past the expiration date.
