Human Serum Amyloid P Component ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Serum Amyloid P/SAP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the target analyte is captured by the immobilized antibody. Following washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Serum Amyloid P/SAP Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a working range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <33 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery (n=5) spans 80%-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma, and 80%-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Kit contents include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
