Human Serum Amyloid A ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Serum Amyloid A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The 4-hour colorimetric assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and read at 450 nm, using a biotinylated detection antibody together with an HRP-Streptavidin/TMB substrate. Manufacturer-reported sensitivity is < 1.1 ng/ml with an assay range of 1.1-80 ng/ml.

No cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants is reported. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 in Sample Dilution Buffer before testing, with validated dilutions of 1:10-1:20 for healthy serum and 1:10-1:20 for healthy plasma. Reported undiluted recovery (n=10) is 87-99% (average 92%) for serum, 86-97% (average 92%) for EDTA plasma and 87-102% (average 97%) for heparin plasma. At serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4 and 1:8), recovery ranges are 84-97%, 82-98% and 87-95% for serum; 81-98%, 84-96% and 94-102% for EDTA plasma; and 88-100%, 87-101% and 82-100% for heparin plasma.

The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the protocol manual. It should not be used past the stated expiration date, and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
