Description

From Antibodies.com, this Human Serglycin ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Serglycin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Serglycin, and standards or samples are added to the wells where target binds the immobilized capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Serglycin Antibody binds the captured Serglycin, after which HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate solution then visualizes the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to Serglycin concentration, calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm against the standard curve.

The kit provides quantitative colorimetric detection with a measuring range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml. The pre-coated microplate is configured as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Sample types validated include serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with average recoveries of 91%, 90%, and 84% respectively across the tested ranges. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.
