Human Septin 5 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human SEPT5 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. An antibody specific for SEPT5 is pre-coated onto the microplate wells, where standards and test samples are incubated to allow SEPT5 to be captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SEPT5 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and is proportional to SEPT5 concentration, which is calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.126 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m and detection is colorimetric. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
