Human Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 5 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Secreted Frizzled Related Protein 5 (SFRP5) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format with biotinylated anti-SFRP5 antibody and HRP-avidin detection, visualised with TMB substrate and read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of <0.60 ng/ml and an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Sample recovery was validated in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%, n=5). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (n=5 per dilution), with overall serum recoveries of 74–107%, EDTA plasma of 79–108% and heparin plasma of 82–105%.

The kit contains a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 × 8 well strips), lyophilized standard (2 vials), detection solutions A and B (120 µl each), 30× wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
