Human Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Scavenging Receptor SR-BI in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the antibody-coated wells, where any SR-BI present is captured; after washing, a biotinylated anti-SR-BI detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The colour reaction, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the SR-BI concentration in each sample.

The kit has a quoted sensitivity of <14.3 pg/ml and a measurable range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has also been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types. Reagent components are supplied for storage at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
