Human Scavenger Receptor Class A Member 5 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human SCARA5 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for SCARA5 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and SCARA5 present in each sample is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-SCARA5 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The colour change is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with the density of yellow proportional to the SCARA5 concentration.

The kit offers an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.057 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes on a pre-coated microplate platform arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Recovery performance has been demonstrated in serum (80%–102%), EDTA plasma (81%–101%), and heparin plasma (80%–89%) samples. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 has been observed in serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%), and heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%). Storage instructions indicate keeping components at +4°C or -20°C, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
