Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A7 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Psoriasin (S100 Calcium Binding Protein A7) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an antibody specific for Psoriasin. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and captured by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Psoriasin Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After washing, TMB substrate is added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and Psoriasin concentration is calculated against a standard curve. The assay is quantitative, colourmetric and runs in 4h 30m.

Sensitivity is 51 pg/ml and the working range is 125–8000 pg/ml. Recovery in undiluted samples has been characterised in serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–101%, average 91%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
