Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A6 ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro measurement of human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A6 (S100 alpha 6/PRA). The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an assay time of 4h 30m. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilized antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-S100 alpha 6/PRA antibody and HRP-Avidin, and visualised with TMB substrate; the resulting absorbance is proportional to target concentration.

The standard curve covers a product range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of 32 pg/ml. Reported recovery averages include 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-101%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity reported across 1:2 to 1:16 sample dilutions. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
