From Antibodies.com, the Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A2 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of human S100 alpha 2/S100A2 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-S100A2 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the colour change is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and quantified against a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer, the standard curve range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, sensitivity is <0.124 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as indicated. Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5 per matrix) are: serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–101% (average 91%) and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported as: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.
