Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A11 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human S100 Calcium Binding Protein A11 (S100A11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for S100A11; standards and test samples are added to the wells and any S100A11 present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-S100A11 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate solution. The HRP-catalysed reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader, with the concentration of S100A11 calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The assay is configured as a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is intended to be read on a colorimetric microplate reader. The stated product range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C according to the product insert. Validated recovery values are reported as averages of 91% for serum (range 83-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90-98%) and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89-102%), with linearity demonstrated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same matrices.
