Human RNA Binding Motif Protein 38 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human RNA Binding Motif Protein 38 (RBM38) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for RBM38 that has been pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where RBM38 is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-RBM38 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction; the colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the RBM38 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit is for use with human samples and is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Reported sensitivity is <0.112 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Average recovery values reported in the supplied data are 91% for serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 91–98%, n=5) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90–99%, n=5), with dilution linearity data provided across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for each of these sample types.
