Human Ribosomal Protein L6 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ribosomal Protein L6 (RPL6) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate onto which an antibody specific for RPL6 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, captured RPL6 is bound by a biotinylated anti-RPL6 antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate together with TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction. The colour change is proportional to RPL6 concentration and is read as absorbance at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is reported as an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave averages of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was demonstrated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recoveries of 87–107% in serum, 79–108% in EDTA plasma and 82–105% in heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix).
