Human Ribosomal Protein L23A ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ribosomal Protein L23A (RPL23A) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for RPL23A. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, where the target protein is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-RPL23A Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate visualizes the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader, and RPL23A concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml. The complete assay runs in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes on a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with kit components stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated. Across 5 replicates per matrix, average values were 91% in serum (range 83–100%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 91–99%) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was also demonstrated (n=5 per matrix), with reported ranges of 78–102%, 90–100%, 80–104% and 86–97% in serum; 95–103%, 81–109%, 87–91% and 88–107% in EDTA plasma; and 74–101%, 92–97%, 90–105% and 84–102% in heparin plasma.
