Human Ribonuclease A8 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human RNASE8 (Ribonuclease A8) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, including serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, onto which a capture antibody specific for RNASE8 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed sequentially by a biotinylated anti-RNASE8 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric, employing a TMB substrate whose reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and the absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Reported analytical sensitivity is <0.109 ng/ml with a quantitative assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, and the complete protocol requires an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. In spike-and-recovery validation with n=5 samples per matrix, average recovery values were 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-101%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%).
