Human Ribonuclease A ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Ribonuclease A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay workflow in which a biotinylated anti-Ribonuclease A antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate are added sequentially; TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

According to the supplied specifications, the kit delivers a sensitivity of less than 32 pg/mL and a measurable range of 78.1-5000 pg/mL, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave 80-102% recovery (average 91%) in serum, 81-101% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma, and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum; 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma; and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma, all in n=5 samples.
