Human Retinoschisin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Retinoschisin (RS1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate, a biotinylated anti-RS1 detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin/TMB substrate system, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Manufacturer-stated sensitivity is <0.069 ng/ml and the standard curve range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. The complete protocol takes 4 h 30 min. Reported average values across n=5 were 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–99%) and 84% in Heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same three matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
